Welcome to Wayzata Girls Badminton!
Whether you’re a prospective player, parent, or supporter, we’re so glad you’re here. This will be the primary platform for general announcements, event/game details, and scores! We’re so excited for the 2026 season, and hope to see you soon!

The team is open to any athlete interested in playing competitive badminton at the high school level, from novice to experienced players. We aim to develop student athletes who value perseverance, achievement, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

Tryouts will begin March 2nd and take place for the whole week. Practices go from 3:30-5:30 pm most days. You can add the Google Calendar with all the events, games, and practice schedules by clicking here.

Registration
Players can complete registration online using the Wayzata EPayTrak Portal below:

All athletes need a current copy of their sports physicals in the office before they can participate. To receive clearance to begin practice, an athlete MUST have all forms completed, a physical on file and fee. If any of these are missing, the athlete will NOT be able to begin practice. If you have not already completed and submitted this form, you can find it on the athletics website. There is a registration fee of $175.00.

Equipment
Rackets and racket bags will be provided. Players will need the following equipment to participate:

- Racket
- Non-marking Indoor Court Shoes
- Athletic Wear

Badminton shoes are preferred, but any type of indoor court shoe will also work(eg. volleyball shoes). Players not in proper attire will not be allowed to participate.
